Our Company
Founded in 2021, Vahlengwe Mining Advisory and Consulting is dedicated to providing independent, balanced advisory and consulting services to the mining industry. Our mission centers around fostering inclusive growth, aligning our efforts with the principles outlined in the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act (MPRDA).
Guiding our organization is Mr. Sunday Mabaso, our visionary founder and CEO. With over three decades of mining experience, including two decades at the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr. Mabaso brings invaluable insights to our team. His seven-year tenure as a Regional Manager spanned responsibilities across both the Northern Cape and Gauteng regions. Mr. Mabaso’s mining journey began with a National Diploma in Mine Surveying and a National Higher Diploma in Mineral Resources Management, both earned at Technikon Witwatersrand. His pursuit of knowledge led him to achieve a Graduate Diploma in Mining Engineering and a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Change and Energy Law from the prestigious University of Witwatersrand. Additionally, he holds an MBA from Milpark Business School and certifications in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability from the University of Cape Town, as well as Mine Closure and Land Rehabilitation from the University of Pretoria.
Mr. Mabaso is an esteemed member of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), the Land Rehabilitation Society of Southern Africa (LaRSSA), and the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA). Our entire team boasts robust credentials, and we are proudly registered with the Geomatics Council and the Environmental Assessment Practitioners Association of South Africa (EAPASA)
